No, your dog cannot get high with CBD shampoo. As mentioned before, hemp-derived CBD is federally legal if it contains 0.3% THC or less. THC is the compound found in the hemp plant that produces that infamous “high.” Our CBD shampoo contains no THC whatsoever and is suitable for all dog breeds. Plus, your dog won’t be ingesting the shampoo, so there’s almost zero risk that they will get high!
How Do You Properly Use CBD Dog Shampoo?
Using CBD shampoo for your dog is easy! It’s just like using regular shampoo, only better. Here’s how:
- Start by thoroughly wetting your dog’s coat so that you can create a lather with the shampoo. How much shampoo you should use depends on the size of your dog. Naturally, larger dogs need more shampoo to get a complete wash.
- Massage small amounts of shampoo into your pet’s coat, adding more as needed. Add more warm water, a little bit at a time, to evenly disperse the shampoo.
- Once you have generated a good lather, rinse your dog off completely. Dry them off as much as you can with a towel or hairdryer (use the lowest setting!). Make sure they are completely dry to avoid hotspots. You could also take them outside to dry in the sun, but don’t let them get in the dirt. You don’t want bath time to go to waste!
