Our journey began in 2017 out of a need to ensure pets lead long, healthy, and joyful lives. Our story is that of need. The need to give pets the long, healthy, happy, and carefree lives they deserve. We launched HolistaPet in 2017 with a mission to be an industry leader in all-natural hemp-derived CBD products for cats and dogs. We used only the highest quality ingredients and never compromised on safety or efficacy.

On October 1, 2022, we celebrated our 5th anniversary and ushered in a new era of pet wellness by relaunching Holistapet! You’re obviously a big pet guy, do you have pets of your own?
Answer: “Four! A Golden Retriever named Bentley, A Husky/Shepherd mix named Kora, a Yorkie named Max, and a cat named Rosie.”
Do you use HolistaPet products for your pets?
Answer: “Absolutely. HolistaPet’s calming products are a staple in the Stewart household.”
As our Chief Veterinary Officer, what value do you believe you will bring to our brand that will set HolistaPet apart from other brands?
Answer: “This day in age, it can be confusing and difficult to find credible advice on the internet. Education has always been at the forefront of HolistaPet’s core mission and I look forward to being a reliable and trusted resource for our customers with my decades of experience and expertise in the veterinary field. "

What inspired you to pursue a career as a veterinarian?
Answer: “My love for animals started with my earliest memories. Animals have always given me a sense of calm and helped me overcome my anxieties. I knew as a young child that I wanted to return the favor by caring for them some day.”
What is your proudest career accomplishment?
Answer: “Establishing my charity -Project Street Vet- which provides free care for pets of our unhoused population. This service, which I started 12 years ago, gave me a new lease on my career at a time when I was considering exiting the profession early due to burnout.”

In your professional opinion, what are the most important factors that contribute to good health in pets?
Answer: “I believe that the tenets of good health are the same as humans- exercise, complete nutrition, quality sleep, and socialization.”
